Top seeded Rushford-Peterson won easily in the Section 1A East Sub-Section tournament beating LeRoy-Ostrander 65-33. The game was over early after the Trojans raced out to a 29-4 lead to start the game. The Trojans defense gave the Cardinals troubles all game long forcing 37 turnovers. Amy Todd led Rushford-Peterson with 18 points and Sierra McNamer had 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Rushford-Peterson improves to 15-12 and they will now take on Spring Grove in the Sub-Section final on Saturday at 5:00 at the Rochester Civic Center Auditorium. The Lions beat Grand Meadow last night 63-41. Saturday’s Rushford-Peterson game can be heard on K-Dub Country 99.3.
