The paper reports that owners Darlene and Myron Schober have sold the paper which they have owned for 35 years.
The new owner is David Phillips of Spring Valley who is the publisher of the Spring
Valley Tribune.
The Tri-County Record got its start in 1915.
Phillips announced the Rushford paper will joining his group of newspapers known as the Bluff Country Newspaper Group.
That group includes papers in Chatfield, Harmony, Preston, Spring Grove, and Spring Valley.
Phillips has been in the newspaper business for some 30 years.......
