The Winona City Council will hold its regular meeting Monday at City Hall and will address the current moratorium on the frac sand industry in the city. The one year moratorium will expire in mid-March.
With the state legislature continuing discussions on possible new regulations for the frac sand industry, councilmembers will discuss how they want to proceed locally. Also on the council's agenda is a discussion on air quality issues.
In addition, the council will hold three public hearings, including one hearing on proposed zoning code amendments. The regular meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.
An informational meeting will be held at 5:45 to discuss shared facilities in the Bambenek Fields in Lake Park between the city and Winona State University.
