Regional Science Fair



A Winona High School student was the big winner in the 60th Annual Southeastern Minnesota and Western Wisconsin Regional Science Fair held at Winona State University on Saturday.
                  
Jack Bryant won an all-expense paid trip to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair to be held May 12th through the 17th, in Phoenix, Arizona.  Bryant's winning project was titled, " The Effect of pH Level on the Strength of Polylactic Acid."  In addition to Bryant, 28 projects advanced to the Minnesota and Wisconsin State Science Fairs.
                   
Nearly 150 students from eight area middle and high schools presented projects and papers in a variety sciences.  Major sponsors of this year's fair included:  Winona State University, the WSU School of Science and Engineering, Winona Health, Merchants Bank, Cytec, Badger Foundry and Watlow Winona.
