Rushford-Peterson Boys Move On To Sub-Section Final

The seventh ranked Rushford-Peterson boys’ basketball team used its usual formula to beat Fillmore Central 65-47 in the Section 1A East Sub-Section semifinals. The Trojans led by just four at halftime but as they’ve done many times this season, they came up with a big second half and pulled away from the Falcons. Rushford-Peterson forced 23 turnovers in the game and they got hot from the outside in the second half. Charlie Krambeer hit 6-9 three-pointers and scored 20 points while the Trojans knocked down nine three-pointers as a team.

Phil O’Shaughnessy came off the bench and produced 13 points as the Trojans improve to 24-3 on the season. R-P will now take on second seed Lanesboro in the sub-section final at 5:00 Saturday in Rochester. Lanesboro beat Spring Grove 80-59 in the semifinals. Saturday’s Rushford-Peterson game can be heard on K-Dub Country 99.3.
