Trempealeau County Sheriff Richard Anderson says his department will increase DWI enforcement from now until the end of the St. Patrick's Day weekend.
Officers also hope to increase safety belt use during the stepped up enforcement that runs until March 20th. The increased enforcement is funded through a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Safety.
The bureau is also launching a free "Drive Sober" app for smart phones beginning on March 7th. The app is available online at zeroinwisconsin.gov
