Winona Winhawk fans have something extra to cheer about.

Voting just wrapped on USA Today Sports for the best mascot in Minnesota and the Winhawks came out on top with more than 163-thousand votes cast.

The Awesome Blossoms of Blooming Prairie finished in a close second.

The Winhawks will now move on to the regional competition as the Minnesota representative with voting opening on Wednesday (today) and continuing until March 14th.
