People who work for IBM in Rochester got bad news Tuesday.

KTTC-TV reports that hundreds of IBM manufacturing jobs are moving to  Mexico, while others are headed to New York.

An IBM spokesman says the decision creates the a better infrastructure for the company.

The manufacturing of Power Pure Systems and Pure Flex systems are both moving to Mexico and the used and refurbished power system manufacturing is going to be shifted to the IBM complex at Poughkeepsie, New York.  

IBM has not given out the exact number of Rochester workers affected yet.
