WSU Guards Named All-Conference
Winona State women’s basketball players Becca Friestleben and Katie Wolff have been named second team all-conference by the NSIC. Friestleben averaged 16 points per game, sixth best in the conference. The senior has made a school record 103 three-pointers at a 43 percent clip. Friestleben also set the single game school record with nine three-pointers.
Wolff is completing one of the top careers in Winona State history and is averaging 11.5 points and 3.7 assists. Wolff has made 81 three-pointers, third-most in school history, and is shooting 41 percent from beyond the arc. The senior will graduate as the only player in school history to record 1,000 points, 200 three-pointers, 400 assists and 150 steals in their Warrior career.
Winona State is 21-10 on the season and will play Minnesota State-Mankato in the semifinals of the NSIC Tournament on Friday at noon in the Taylor Arena in Rochester.
