The Plainview Police Department has issued a statewide Crime Alert and is seeking the public's help in finding a missing Planiview man.
                
Plainview police said 43-year-old Melvin Edward Peterson was last seen on Sunday, March 3rd, in Alma, Wisconsin, where he was visiting a family friend.

Authorities say he left the friend's home around 3:00 p.m. Sunday but never  arrived home.

Peterson has not shown up for work at all this week.

Police call this out of character for Peterson and are growing increasingly concerned about his welfare.

Peterson was driving a silver 2008 Chevrolet Aveo, 4-door, with Minnesota license plate 8-5-1-D-G-V

He is described as 5'-8", and 185 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes

He was last seen wearing a grey knit sweater, faded blue jeans and a brown jacket.
