Winona State track athlete Alissa Rausch placed seventh in the shot put at the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championship Friday, giving the Warriors their second All-American in as many days at the national meet.
Rausch earned her seventh place finish in the shot put with a throw of 47’ 1 ½”. The junior was also an All-American in the event last season. Rausch won the shot put at the NSIC Indoor Championship two weeks ago, giving her a conference title in the event in back-to-back seasons.
Teammate Megan Elliott also gained All-American status at the national meet, placing seventh in the weight throw Thursday.
