County Administrator Duane Hebert said he would also like to see the current multiple request forms be reduced to one form in order to streamline the process of supplying those public documents that are requested.
Hebert said he may request that the public be charged a flat hourly fee for the time staff members use to prepare and redact, if necessary, the public documents.
Commissioner Jim Pomeroy said he favors no fee but also wants to make sure the public does not think the county is trying to hide something when there is a delay.
Hebert said proposed policy changes regarding fees and request forms will be brought back to the board for a decision at a future meeting.
No action on the requests was taken......
