The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the Dresbach Travel Information Center will be closed to semi-trucks starting next Monday, March 18th, as preparations for the 187-million dollar Interstate 90 bridge replacement project get underway.
Parts of the Center are being used as a staging area for the project and it will remain closed to semi-trucks for the duration of the project. The Center will remain open for all other users for the 2013 construction season.
Access to the U-S Fish and Wildlife boat launch will also close Monday, March 18th. The launch is scheduled to be open in mid-November.
The bridge project is a cooperative effort between Minnesota and Wisconsin and is a multi-year project expected to continue through 2016.
It includes constructing a new I-90 bridge over the Mississippi River and reconstructing the Highway 14-61 and I-90 interchange near Dresbach.
