Freedom Honor Flight



Freedom Honor flight of La Crosse has announced the spring Honor Flight to Washington, DC will take place on May 4th.  A second Honor Flight is scheduled for September 21st.
                
Veterans for the May 4th flight have been selected from applications already on file. Those selected for the flight are being notified by telephone.
                 
The organization also announced that it has expanded to serve Rochester area veterans. The new area also includes Winona, Houston, Olmsted, Mower, Dodge, Fillmore and Wabasha counties.  The Rochester-based hub is no longer operating.
                
World War Two and Korea veterans have priority status for this year's flights.

Officials estimate that in the 25 counties the La Crosse hub now serves there are more than 5,000 World War Two veterans who have not yet participated in an Honor Flight. They are urged to apply.  Applications are available online at www.freedomhonorflight.org
