Jacob Johnson was named the Region One-A winner in the competition that recognizes excellence in athletics, the arts, and academics.
Johnson was honored Thursday night at the sectional boys championship game in Rochester.
He will attend a banquet in Minneapolis on Saturday, March 23rd, where the state Triple "A" winner in Class-A will be announced.
The award goes to seniors who have a 3.0 or higher grade point average.
