The Winona County Planning Commission holds two separate meetings this coming Thursday March 21st.
The commission will meet at 7:00 p.m. to hold a public hearing on the completed environmental assessment worksheet for the proposed David and Sherry Nisbit frac sand mine in Saratoga Township.
An earlier public hearing on two other proposed frac sand mines...the Dabblestein and Yoder properties...was called off when those developers agreed to a voluntary full environment impact statement being prepared. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the County Board on whether the full EIS is needed for the Nisbit proposal.
The other meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. and will include discussions about two unrelated requests for permits for new homes on two private properties.
Both meetings are open to the public and will be held at the Tandeski Center at Minnesota State College---Southeast Technical.
