If Dr. James Schmidt is confirmed as U-W Eau Claire's next chancellor, it will mark the third Winona State University administrator to leave in less than a year.
             
The U-W Eau Claire board meets on April 5th, to decide on a recommendation to hire Schmidt as its chancellor.

Last month WSU's Connie Gores was named as the next president of Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall. Gores has been with WSU since 2007 and has served in the role of Vice President for Student Life and Development. She will start her new duties this coming July First.
             
The third administrator to leave was Bill Murphy, Dean of the College of Business. He was
terminated last September for inappropriate interaction with male students.

Murphy had been at Winona State since 1989 and was named dean in 2007.....
