The Big Nine Conference and the Hiawatha Valley League have announced their all-conference basketball teams. Brandon Gamoke and Dan Schwartz were named second team All-Big Nine for the Winona High boys while Jeff Schultz and Will Leaf were named honorable mention all-conference. Gamoke, Schwartz and Leaf are seniors while Schultz is a junior. Gamoke and Schwartz led the Winhawks in scoring at 10.6 points per game while Leaf averaged 9.5 points and Schultz 8.1.

Senior Jon Eichman averaged 13.6 points per game for the Cotter boys and was named to the HVL all-conference team.

The Winona High post duo of Ellen Blacklock and Audrey Scharmer were named all-Big Nine Conference for the girls’ team. Scharmer, a junior, averaged 13.2 points per game and the senior Blacklock, scored 13 per game. Senior Dulcey Milek was named honorable mention all-conference after averaging 11 points.

Cotter senior guard Paige Gernes was named All-HVL after averaging 12.2 points 6.5 assists and 3.9 steals.
