The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol are advising southeastern Minnesota drivers to slow down during their evening commute and throughout tonight because of scattered icy spots.
The State Patrol has received several reports of vehicles in the ditch as of late Tuesday afternoon.
The State Patrol is urging drivers to use safe speeds and to drive slowly on bridges, overpasses and tunnels.
MnDOT has reported several very slick areas including the right lane of Interstate 90 eastbound at Mower County Road 1 and I-90 between Dexter and Marion.
Driving has been treacherous today on U.S. 52 between Zumbrota and Cannon Falls as well because of patches of ice with numerous vehicles reported to have slid off the highway.
