This coming Saturday, March 23rd, is the annual Boy Scout food pickup for the March Foodshare food drive.
The Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will be going door to door in Winona, Goodview and Minnesota City picking up bags of food left out on the door step.
The bags, containing nonperishable food items, need to be placed outside where the scouts can see them, by 9:00 a.m.
Residents must supply their own bags,
The food will be taken to Winona Volunteer Services where it will become part of the March Foodshare food drive.
The overall goal for this year's drive is 33,000 pounds of food.
Cash donations can also be made at Volunteer Services at 412 East Second Street, along with food, during regular business hours.
The drive runs through the first week of April.
