The Rushford City Council has decided to delay the awarding of a contract to remodel the city's former liquor store into a city hall.
The Tri-County Record reports the council was set to act on the bids earlier this week.
The lowest bid of $129,746 was submitted by Schultz Builders, LLC of Utica.
The council had concerns about the the city's debt level and the cost of the project and that prompted a motion to table the decision until the April 8th council meeting.
The building formerly housed the city's municipal store which was closed down. There also was a proposal to move the Rushford library into the building but that also did not happen.....
