The lion's share of some $190 million budgeted for 2013 Wisconsin state highway projects will be spent on I-94 in the northwest region. The 2013 plan does not include any major state highway improvement projects in Buffalo or Pepin counties.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says eight major projects include roadway work on I-94 between Minnesota to Jackson County. Replacement of Red Cedar River bridges in Dunn County are planned along with four bridge projects in Jackson County. Work is planned on State Highway 35 in St. Croix County and state highways 37 and 53 in Eau Claire County.
