Spokesperson Kristen Kammueller told Winona Radio News the latest work is centering on intersection details and construction limits of the bridge touchdown in Winona.
Kammueller says progress is also being made on the environmental documents for the project.
Work is in the beginning stages of acquiring right-of-way for the new bridge and the upgraded current bridge. She says a public meeting will be held sometime in the next few months.
Kammueller said the goal is to begin actual work on the bridge project in mid to late 2014.
The project is still estimated to cost $150,000,000 to $175,000,000.
