Winona Police said rescue workers were unable to revive a man who was discovered slumped behind the wheel of a vehicle near Sixth and Ewing Streets early Tuesday. Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams said the 34 year old Winona man was found about 4:00 a.m. in the traffic lane with his foot on the brake and the vehicle in drive. CPR was performed on the man but it was unsuccessful. It's believed the man, who was Nigeria, may have suffered cardiac arrest. An autopsy is being conducted in Olmsted County. The man's name will be released pending notification of relatives.
