The Winona City Council will hold an informational meeting April 15th prior to its regular meeting to discuss a proposed Emergency Interim Ordinance.
The interim ordinance would establish a study period and moratorium for a period of four months on developments located in the mixed-use business B 2-point-5 zone.
The new zone was created initially to allow the construction of the condominiums located at the foot of Johnson Street next to the Mississippi River. That project was started by developer Dave McNally but never finished. The land has been sold to a La Crosse bank. It's not known what plans the bank may have for the property.
The informational meeting starts at 5:45 p.m. Monday at City Hall and is open to the public.
The City Council will also discuss the issue during its regular meeting that follows.
