St. Mary's University will roll out the red carpet on June 22nd, to mark the end of the university's yearlong centennial celebration.
The public is invited to join with students, families, and alumni in what is being referred to as grand event to celebrate the college's first 100 years. Attendees will will be treated like stars and will walk the red carpet from their valet parking into a transformed fieldhouse where special entertainment will be provided.
In addition Mike and Joette Gostomski of Winona will be presented with the university's Heritage Award for their lifetime philanthropy involving the school. Mike is a graduate of SMU. Other awards will also be presented and the evening will end with a fireworks extravaganza followed by dancing to the Nicholas David Band. David was a recent finalist on NBC's 'The Voice' program.
