A 38 year old Winona woman was jailed Thursday night on suspicion of possessing controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
Winona County Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude said Ginger Marie Nahrgang was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped along Highway 14 by a deputy who noticed the vehicle crossed the centerline.
The county's K9 officer searched the vehicle an alerted on a small safe. The deputy also discovered drug paraphernalia in Nahrgang's purse. The deputy also discovered two containers and a baggie with suspicious substances that tested positive for cocaine and meth.
Two other occupants of the vehicle were not arrested. None of three claimed to have knowledge of the safe. The incident took place about 8:00 p.m.
