Winona State Baseball Team Closes Out Regular Season

The Winona State baseball team closed out the regular season with a doubleheader split with Sioux Falls. Derek Wojcik(Whoa-check) was 2 for 3 with a RBI in the first game but Winona State lost 4-2.

Winona State held off a late Sioux Falls rally to win game two 9-8. Sioux Falls scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to just fall short. Kyle Sill hit a three-run homerun for the Warriors while Jordan Plamann was 3 for 5 with two runs batted in. Jay Vote gave up two runs in five innings and got the win.

Winona State closes out the regular season 22-15 and they finished fourth in the NSIC during the regular season with a 16-7 record. The Warriors will open up the NSIC Tournament on Wednesday when they take on Concordia-St. Paul at 11:00 a.m. in St. Cloud.
