The Winona County Sheriff's Department says a 21 year old La Crosse man was taken into custody  Sunday evening in Minnesota City after police discovered he was a fugitive from Trempealeau County.
Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude said Taylor Alan Suchla was among three men who were questioned after a deputy noticed some suspicious activity just after 11:00 p.m.  Ganrude said the deputy searched backpack belonging to Suchla and discovered two baggies containing a white powdery substance, a razor blade and drug paraphernalia.
Suchla was initially charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.  The case is being reviewed for formal charges by the County Attorney's office.  Meanwhile, Suchla is being held for extradition to Trempealeau County.
