The Buffalo County Board of Supervisors will renew its search for a new administrative coordinator. County Board Chairman Del Twidt said county officials are looking at alternative methods of posting the job position in an effort to attract more qualified applicants.
Two women and two men were interviewed for the coordinator's job in March by the county's Committee of the Board. Twidt said none of the four people interviewed by the committee were called back for a 2nd round of interviews. The committee decided to seek a new pool of applicants, according to Twidt. Fourteen people applied for the job in the initial offering.
Julie Lindstrom of Nelson, Wis., director of the county's new Land Resources Department, is carrying the title of administrative coordinator for now. Twidt formerly served as coordinator as well as chairing the county board, but gave up the position in 2012 and recommended the county board move ahead with employing a full-time coordinator.
