Winona County authorities said a building in St. Charles was damaged along with downed trees and power lines in other parts of the county following Sunday night's storm that dumped more than two inches of rain on some areas.
Winona County County Dispatch Center Supervisor Mike Peterson said a building belonging to Twin Valley Ag in St. Charles had a portion of its roof come down and the building itself damaged.
St. Charles also reported some downed trees and power lines. In Rollingstone a tree came down blocking Main Street for a time. Nearly 2.3 inches of rain were reported in Altura.
Sirens were sounded in Winona County about 7:30 p.m. when a tornado warning was issued. Peterson said the warning was issued by the National Weather Service and was radar-indicated. There's been no confirmation of a tornado siting.
