The local American Red Cross Chapter will hold a second disaster relief drive for the victims of the Oklahoma tornado Friday.
Executive Director Marie Barrientos says the drive held at Hy-Vee on Wednesday raised over $8,000 in local donations. The second drive will be held at both Midtown Foods and Hy-Vee from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday.
The Red Cross is thanking the public for the donations on Wednesday but is also stressing that more funds are needed to help those involved in the disaster just like many organizations helped out the Winona area when a disastrous flood hit the Winona area in 2007.
