I-90 Crash

The Minnesota State Patrol said the Interstate 90 Winona exit was re-opened about 9:00 a.m. Tuesday following two crashes that occurred in the same area.
The Patrol said a vehicle driven eastbound on I-90 by 83 year old Ernest Tuff of Rushford was rear-ended by a freightliner truck.  Winona County authorities said a second crash occurred a short time later when the freightliner was rearended by a third vehicle.
There was fog at the time of the crashes about 7:30 a.m.  Tuff was taken to Winona Health to be treated for non life threatening injuries.  The truck driver, identified as 40-year-old Eric Loney of Dubuque, Iowa was not injured.  The driver of the third vehicle was not identified.
The incident resulted in the Winona exit being closed for about one and a half hours.
