South Shore Drill Team

The South Shore Drill Team returns to Steamboat Days 2013.

South Shore is known for its electrifying precision-drilling and wide range of dance routines. The Drill Team has performed at such venues as Walt Disney World, Soldier Field, the Kentucky Derby, and the Indy 500, and is a perennial favorite at Chicago's annual Bud Billiken Parade.

First and foremost, the organization is a prevention program devoted to helping young people in some of Chicago's most dangerous neighborhoods steer clear of gangs, drugs, and violence while developing a strong work ethic and self-confidence.

You can see the South Shore Drill Team perform Saturday, June 22nd at 7:00 pm on Second and Center Streets and in the Steamboat Days Grande Parade on Sunday, June 23rd. Parade start time is 12:31pm on West Broadway.

Steamboat Days is June 19th through the 23rd.  Steamboat Buttons are available in advance as most local retailers, convenient stores, Midtown Foods and HyVee.  Carnival Wristband discount coupons can be purchased at Midtown Foods and HyVee.
