The Winona Senior High School and District Aministration Offices were evacuated Tuesday morning following a construction accident. The building was expected to reopen at noon.
District officials say a spill of ammonium sulfite created an "awful odor." The Winona Fire Department recovered the spilled chemical and fumigated the building. The chemical spill creates no danger, according to officials, but did result in the evacuation and the cancellation of camps scheduled for the school Wednesday morning.
