Wisconsin Democratic.Senator Tammy Baldwin has been appointed to serve on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
The Committee oversees energy production, innovation and technology issues through the U.S. Departments of Energy and Interior, while also holding responsibility for stewardship of public lands and forests managed by Department of the Interior and the U.S. Forest Service.
Baldwin said this opportunity will allow her to support Wisconsin's leadership in the areas of bioenergy, energy efficiency and advanced battery production.
In addition to her Energy and Natural Resources Committee appointment, Senator Baldwin will continue to serve on the Senate Budget Committee; the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee; the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee and the Senate Special Committee on Aging.
