Former Minnesota House Speaker Kurt Zellers is joining the race for governor, saying he would bring a middle class family man's sensibility to the job.
Zellers, a Republican from Maple Grove, stopped at Winona Radio Monday afternoon and said Governor Dayton is out of touch with the middle class and it's time for a change.

Zellers says lowering taxes and keeping businesses in Minnesota by being more competitive with neighboring states is very important.
Zellers becomes the third Republican campaigning to challenge Democratic Governor Mark Dayton next year. Businessman Scott Honour and Hennepin County Commissioner Jeff Johnson are also running.
