The Winona County Board of Commissioners settled a disagreement by appointing six county township officers to the County's Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee.
The appointments brings the committee number to 21 members including 15 citizens who were appointed earlier. The action also eliminates a separate township officers committee and some confusion over who were originally appointed.
Commissioner Steve Jacob said adding the six township officials makes for a good representation of the county residents.
The board also approved a second motion requiring committee members to attend two-thirds of the meetings in order to be able to vote on final recommendations on comp plan updates or changes.
Both motions were approved on 4-to-0 votes with Marcia Ward absent.
The next meeting of the committee will be on Monday, July 15th.
