Winona Police say a convicted level three sex offender has moved into Winona and will be living in the 400 block of Sioux Street.
Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams issued the required public notice and said Ramone Lamont Newell will move into the new location Saturday (today).
Newell has a history of sexual conduct against adolescent and adult females. The contact included indecent exposure and also window peeping. He reached through the window and grabbed the leg of one victim while she slept.
He was not known to his victims.
Under state statute, law enforcement agencies are required to notify the public when a level three sex offender changes address.
Level three is the most serious of the three levels of sex offenders under state law.
