A 23-year-old Holmen woman was jailed early Saturday after she allegedly assaulted a police officer who answered a loud party complaint.
Deputy Police Chief Tom William said officers were called to 550 East Mark Street about 3:30 a.m. Saturday to quell a loud party. In the process they cited five people with criminal charges ranging from failure to leave a loud party, fleeing on foot, and underage drinking.
One woman, identified as Cherish Marie Roberts, was being escorted to a squad car, according to Williams, when she allegedly kneed a police officer.
Roberts was jailed after being cited with felony fourth degree assault on the officer and obstruction with force, among other charges.
