The Trempealeau County District Attorney's office has filed a criminal complaint in Trempealeau County Circuit Court charging 22-year old Amanda Butts of Osseo with first degree reckless homicide.
The charge carries a maximum possible term of imprisonment of 60 years.
According to the criminal complaint, on June 22nd, Alexis Behlke, a 22 month old child died as a result of an acute intoxication due to the combined effects of oxycodone, generic benadryl, and an antidepressant.
The Osseo Police Department is conducting this investigation with additional investigative assistance from the Trempealeau County Sheriff's Department. The Jackson County Sheriff's Department assisted with the defendant's arrest on Thursday.
