The City of St. Charles may be getting a new hotel.
The St. Charles Press reports the city council has approved a study to determine the economic viability of a new hotel to be constructed in the new I-90 business park.
The study was requested by the Cobblestone Hotel Group which is proposing a 36 or 40 unit hotel.
The feasibility study is expected to cost 5-thousand dollars with the city agreeing to pay 13-hundred dollars after receiving a 12-hundred dollar grant from Dairyland Power Cooperative.
The remaining 25-hundred dollar cost is being picked up by Cobblestone Hotel Group.
