Garvin Heights residents will have a little more time before their direct access into Winona will be closed down.
The county highway department says the project to install a new culvert will start this coming Monday and not Friday.
That means as of Monday Garvin Heights residents will need to find an alternate route in and out of the city.
County Administrator Duane Hebert said the project will not only improve the condition of the road but also benefit the public.
In addition to the new culvert, East Garvin Heights Road will be partially closed for installation of a second culvert, but one lane will remain open.
The $44,000 project is expected to take about two weeks.
Alternate routes include Highway 43 and County Road 21 through Gilmore Valley.......
