Highway Bridge-Ward

The Winona City Council Monday unanimously voted to give the go ahead for plans to construct a new Highway 43 interstate bridge and rehabilitate the current historical bridge.

During the public hearing portion of the meeting MnDOT Bridge Project Manager Terry Ward assured the board the final design and structure of the bridge has NOT been decided.

When asked whether or not the timeline would change if a different style other than a box girder bridge is selected, Ward said the project would be delayed.

Ward says the environmental review results for the bridge project are expected by the end of this year.
