Winona Police said 24-year-old Kristopher Robin Residence of Winona was jailed early Saturday after being cited with a fifth degree controlled substance crime, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while under the influence of a controlled substance.
Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams said officers were called to the area of the pedestrian bridge near Highway 14 and Gilmore Avenue on a report of a vehicle with a smashed windshield.
They discovered a man and a woman asleep inside.
The man was identified as Residence and Williams said police found a plastic bag inside the vehicle that contained a substance that field tested positive for meth, along with other drug related items.
The meth was about two and a-half grams in weight.
The woman was not charged and neither were injured.
