A $30,000,000 fundraising campaign undertaken by the Catholic Diocese of Winona has surpassed the $11,000,000 mark in pledges and gifts
The Diocese newspaper 'The Courier' reports this month that the 'Rooted in Faith-Rejoice in Hope' campaign is now in its second wave with a third wave starting in October
The paper says the campaign's first wave, which includes 17 parishes in the Rochester Deanery has not yet been completed The second wave, which includes 48 parishes in the Mankato and Worthington Deaneries, launched on August 10th.
The final phase, which includes the Winona and Austin-Albert Lea Deaneries, will begin in early October.
The funds will be earmarked to strengthen the Priest Retirement Fund and for improvements to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary in Winona.
The campaign will also strengthen each of the parishes in the Diocese by returning 25-percent of the funds raised to address local projects..
