Three finalists have been chosen for a Third Judicial District Court judgeship based in Rochester.
The Minnesota Commission on Judicial Selection announced the finalists, one of whom will replace Judge Joseph Weiners who recently retired.
Governor Mark Dayton is expected to announce his appointment of a replacement in the next few weeks after interviewing the candidates.
The three finalists are Richard Jackson, James Martinson, and Kathy Wallace.
Jackson is the former Houston County Attorney who currently is the lead attorney for the Special Prosecution Unit in the Olmsted County Attorney's office and an adjunct professor for the Paralegal Program at Winona State University.
Martinson is the Chief Deputy of the Olmsted County Attorney's office.
Wallace is a team lead attorney with the criminal division of the Omsted County Attorney's office......
