United Way of Greater Winona

The United Way of the Greater Winona Area awarded eleven grants to local organizations this summer worth $45,000 to fund new and innovative children's programs.

United Way executive director Beth Forkner Moe says teaching children early is key to being successful later in life.

Moe says a lack of early childhood learning makes it much harder for kids to catch up later, often leading to problems.
