Freedom Honor Flight

St. Michael's Assisted Living in Fountain City will host a Freedom Honor Flight celebration in recognition of two veterans who will be making a flight to Washington D-C on September 21st.

World War Two Veteran Rudy Zeller who fought in Occupied Germany, and Korean War Veteran Daniel Jacquart, will fly to Washington D.C along with a member of their family who will accompany them.

A pre-flight event, in honor of the men's service to their country and dedication to American Freedom, will be held Tuesday, September 17th from 2:30-3:30 pm in St. Michael's community room.

All Veterans, their families and the general public are encouraged to attend this event to honor Rudy and Dan and to learn more about the Freedom Honor Flight program, a non-profit organization founded on behalf of all American Veterans.  Treats and refreshments will be served.

Freedom Honor Flight is a La Crosse-based organization founded in April of 2008 and is affiliated with the national Honor Flight Network, which began in 2005 in Dayton, Ohio. There are now 40 "hubs," or cities from which flights originate around the country......
