County Planning Commission

The Winona County Planning Commission will meet Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and again discuss proposed changes to the Winona County Zoning Ordinances.
Last month the commission held a public hearing where they heard concerns about bluff sightlines and setbacks and why is there a need to rush to change the zoning ordinances.

One provision would expand the Rural Heritage District county wide and revert area standards to the August 1st, 1970 Zoning Ordinance, exempting structures built before March 15th, 2011.

It would also include new structures within 300 feet of said existing structures from all current locally imposed setbacks including, bluff, steep slope, feedlot and other locally required setbacks.

The County Planning Commission meets at 7:00 p.m. Thursday  at the County Government Center and the public is invited to attend.
